Bird watching activity requires patience and stealth mode. So before heading to the field you need to prepare in advance. Choose the attire which is good camouflage on the field. Good quality binoculars are very important. Since you have just started then don't have to buy expensive binoculars right away but for those who love them and can manage to buy them. it's up to them. binoculars will become very handy for a good experience in the field. It will also allow for a survey of the area and if you see the bird at distance but can not approach it too close due to water or something else then only binoculars or a spotting scope will be handy.

Bird watching can be done in 5 minutes but that won't satisfy everyone. The longer the duration will require some energy. So if possible carry some fruits or any other foods or snacks. Because once you get in there, there is no specific time for out and this depends on people's moods as well.

Once you are in the field you might see some birds you can recognize but some might be surprisingly new so identification of those birds requires either experience or a Field guidebook. If possible, please carry the local bird field guidebook. Nowadays field guidebooks are available in PDF format and are easily accessible.

    This is a wide and wild place so no one knows what will they encounter on the field. If you are lucky you might get rare sights of a rare bird, but if not recognizable then take the picture and it is not compulsory to use an expensive DSLR or SLR. The easy and affordable way is to get set your binoculars in front of a mobile camera and you are ready to go.
